Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our ASEC representative was onsite as requested by the contractor (Wilbanks) for the observation/testing of soils.

Observed the contractor place approximately 8-to-12-inch lifts for Lots #16 through #19. Compaction testing was performed, and all test results were provided to the contractor. The contractor began removing topsoil from the bank to the greenspace located on the edge of the Lots #15 through #19. The topsoil was placed in approximately 8in lifts.

The technician measured the topsoil bank (at the start of the morning) with a measure wheel and the banks measurements were approximately 265 feet x 45 feet x 9 feet deep. The contractor was provided the updated information (as mentioned in previous days report).

The contractor began excavation to SSMH4.0 The technician observed the contractor undercut approximately 1 foot and place No. 57 stone to elevation. The contractor began first layer of backfill and compaction over lines from SSMH2.0.
