Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Overview:
A request was made to document four (4) cores taken as part of the exploration of Runway 9R. The coring operation was conducted with representatives from CW Matthews, ABC Concrete Coring, and ATLNext present on site.

Core Information:
All depth measurements are approximate:

1. Core #1 – 23 inches

2. Core #2 – 24 inches

3. Core #3 – 19 inches

4. Core #4 – 19 inches

Notes:

• The specific locations of the cores are provided in the attached photo.

• All cores have been transported and stored at the CW Matthews Sullivan Road Batch Plant for further analysis or reference.
