Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor (Wilbanks) for the observation/testing of the placement of soils. The technician observed the contractor place 1 lift approximately 8 inches in thickness over Lots #30 through #40. Fill materials tested were found to be higher than optimum moisture content and was left to aerate in place to reduce in-situ moistures prior to compaction.

Compaction results were found to be at least 95% and within optimum moisture content range (3 percent above and below optimum). All test results were provided to the contractor.
