Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor (Wilbanks) for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill.

Density testing was performed for the pipeline from SSMH4.0 to SSMH4.1. Compaction tests were provided to the contractor. The technician recommended to allow time to aerate before recompacting.

The contractor began the removal of topsoil from around Lot #107 through #109, and Lot #103. The technician calculated the approximate amount of topsoil removed and provided the info to the contractor.  The dimensions for the trench from Lot #107 through #109 was approximately 120ft x 20ft x 6ft deep = approx. 533 cubic yards. Lot #103 was approximately 30ft x 30ft x 4ft deep = approx. 133.3 cubic yards.

The contractor placed the removed topsoil on the bank (green space) along Lots #134 through #139 (right side of lots).
