Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor (Wilbanks) for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill.

The contractor previously backfilled headwall BE1. The contractor did not request density testing on this backfill. The contactor began excavation for headwall BE6 with an invert elevation of 753.2.

The contractor continued working on pipeline to SSMH 4.3. The contractor reported an approximately 2 feet of cut, bedded with No. 57 stone to elevation.

The contractor continued soil lifts for Lots #127 through #133.  Lift thicknesses were approximately 8 to 12 inches. The technician density tested the lots and provided all test results to the contractor.
