Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative visited the above site as requested to continue observations of roadway subgrade soils and recommended repairs.  It appears that an overnight rain event delivered between 1″ to 1.5″ of water which caused severe eroding over previous placed base stone.  In some areas washed silt was observed over the previously repaired areas (base stone and tensor fabric in place) which will require remediation to remove the washed silt from the base stone to continue.   See pictures below.
