Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and approved material submittals.

During this visit, the contractor had excavated ten (10) trial test pits in proximity to the marker MHD-1 to determine the depth of the rock table and to assess the need for possible blasting operations. Measurements were taken to determine the horizontal distance between each of the ten excavated holes and the reference point MHD-1. These distances will be used to confirm spacing adequacy, alignment and correlation with anticipated subsurface profiles. and all information was given to the contractor.
