Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor (Wilbanks) for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill.  Our ASEC representative tested Lots #127 through #133 and Lots #137 through #138 for compaction. The test results were provided to the contractor. Lots #127 and #128 did not meet job specifications for compaction. The technician recommended to scarify and aerate before recompaction or placing anymore fill.

The technician observed the contractor remove topsoil from approximate Lot #158 and Lot #208. The technician observed a proof-roll across the approximate lot areas of #156 through #158 and #212 through #209. These areas appeared stable. The contractor started placing fill in approximate 8 to 12 inch lifts across these lots and Lots #127 through #133, #80 through #82 and Lots #137 through #139.
