Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor (Wilbanks) for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. The technician observed the contractor place 1 lift approximately 8 inches in thickness over Lots #158 through #154.

The contractor placed the lifts in approximately 8 to 12 inches of thickness and compacted via a sheep-foot roller. The contractor also rolled in the lots with a loaded off-road dump truck. Density testing was performed with a nuclear density gauge (the weather was too windy for cylinder ring testing).  The technician provided all test results to the contractor.
