Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, a representative from AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) visited the site to perform quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with the project drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and approved material submittals.
During the site visit, the contractor had prepared the slope area located to the east of Lot #92 by removing all grass, organic material, and roots prior to fill placement. Due to elevation differences, some areas were too high for the dozer to access; these areas were manually cleaned by laborers using shovels. Once the surface was properly prepared, imported soil from an external source was delivered to the site, evenly spread across the area, and compacted using a dozer. To support erosion control and landscaping, the contractor applied a mix of Bermuda grass and fescue grass seeds, followed by the installation of a straw blanket. An all-purpose fertilizer was also applied to promote healthy vegetation growth across the treated area.
