Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested and observed the grading contractor continue placing fill for the building pad Lots #52 through #58 and backfilling utilities. The grade work was carried out using a 349E CAT excavator.  Soils were spread using a 61Pxi Komatsu bulldozer and a sheep-foot roller used for compaction.

Density tests were performed using a Troxler nuclear gauge model3430, serial no. 38069.  Results are attached.

Moisture and compaction test using the manual drive cylinder technique was carried out. The result showed that all tests are failed, that is it is  below 95%.

The forman is informed to scarify and compact and make ready for recheking.
