Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested and observed the grading contractor continue placing fill for the building pads and roadway. Backfilling was to continue today but in-situ soils were found to be too wet. Contractor scarified wet soils to aerate and will recompact tomorrow.

Today, the lots whose moisture and compaction tests failed yesterday was scarified and recompacted. Lot retests whose tests for moisture and compaction failed yesterday met job specifications for compaction.  A verifying check plug was performed.  Density tests were performed using a Troxler nuclear gauge model3430, serial no. 38069.  Results are attached.
