Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor (Wilbanks) for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. The contractors are doing final touches to the site before shutting down until Phase 5 is scheduled.
A proof-roll was performed on Lots #192-#196. The proof-roll showed signs of poor stability. These lots will need to be re-excavated until suitable subgrade soils are encountered, then filled and compacted as per job specifications. The temporary retention pond located on Lots #50-#52 will also need to be re-excavated until properly suitable soils are encountered. The contractors stated they would complete this when they return for Phase 5.
The contractor is adding lifts of approximately 2 in-6 in of soil on all the final graded lots in Phase 4.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
