Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Site Location: Azalea crossing – 7Hills

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor (Service Titan) for the observation/testing of the placement of GAB. The contractor began excavation of a roadway cut. It was recommended to excavate approximately 6 in of soil to add a thicker layer of GAB in unstable areas. A proof-roll is scheduled for tomorrow (early afternoon). The contractor is placing approximately 12 in of GAB in these cut areas and compacting via a smooth drum roller. There has been a problem with multiple pieces of equipment, which has delayed the schedule for this project.

The worst of the unstable areas appears to be at the bottom of the hill where water would collect.

We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
