Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
At the request of the client’s representative, AS ENGINEERING AND CONSULTING, LLC (ASEC) representative Amin Azimi visited the job site to observe and monitor the contractor’s work activities from a quality assurance standpoint. The purpose of the visit was to verify compliance with project drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and approved material submittals, as well as to conduct quality control testing in accordance with project requirements.
Approximately 1130 cubic yards of concrete was placed this day. During placement, the batch plant experienced mechanical difficulties which delayed the concrete placement many hours and required a period of stand-by time.
Concrete sampling at regular intervals was performed with slump, air content, unit weight and concrete temperatures recorded. All test results were found to be within job specification tolerances.
Data logging devices were also activated at regular intervals for future temperature monitoring.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service on this project. Should you have any questions regarding this report, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would be pleased to discuss our findings further.
