Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. Upon arrival to the site, our representative preformed moisture checks on both sets of structural fill stockpiles located on site. The contractor was informed of which fill was within optimum range for proper compaction. The wall contractors said they are still waiting on the pipe crew to show up and set their boxes. They said the pipe crew were supposed to be there today but didn’t know if they were going to show up.

There didn’t appear to be any testing that was needed, so our representative left the site.  The contractor placed a lift of structural fill later today. Our representative will perform density testing the following workday.
