Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. The wall contractors (Orion) finished off the final grade of backfilling along the retaining wall. Density testing was performed, and all test results were provided to the wall contractor.

The road contractor (Bowlin) continued placing approximately 8in to 12in lifts in the roadway in front of the wall. The road was filled to approximately -2 ft to -3 ft elevation in this area. Density testing was performed, and all test results were provided to the contractor. The road crew stopped work and said they were headed to another jobsite tomorrow. They said the pipe contractors needed to install pipeline in the entrance way before finishing fill placement. They said the pipe crew would finish the filling and they might be on site tomorrow. There was no confirmation that the pipe crew would be onsite the following workday, and there appears to be no pipe stockpiled on the site at this time.

Our ASEC representative contacted Mr. Patel to inform him of the progress. Until further notification, we will not be present on site after today.
