Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the
purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were
employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor for the
inspection/testing of the footing for mono slab pour. During the probe rod test, low compaction areas were found in footing. One area in the backside of slab was very loose material, and it was recommended to excavate approx. 3ft deep. In other areas around the footing, it was recommended to excavate 1ft to 2ft deep. DCP testing was conducted, and numbers were provided to the contractor. Once these low compaction areas are fixed, it appears the slab is ready for pour.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding
this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
