Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
Excavation and installation continued today at the Cassville Road tract for the French drain (“burrito wrap”) project. Work began near point C3 and progressed up to the area between C4 and C5 as shown on the site plan. The excavation reached a depth of roughly 10 to 12 feet; 3 feet of gravel placed 6 inches from the excavation bottom. The drain was 20 feet in length and 6 inches in diameter, sheet of a length of 22-24 feet. Excavators were used to remove soil to the required depth and stockpiled safely away from the trench edges. The soil was identified as mainly clay with some gravel. No groundwater or slope instability was observed at the time of excavation.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
