Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
Proof-rolling was performed at Stations ST-A7 and ST-A5 using a fully loaded tandem-axled dump truck. Multiple passes, both forward and backward, over the designated areas was performe to evaluate stability of the subgrade. Subgrade soils displayed no signs of movement, rutting, pumping, or deflection.
Following successful proof-rolling, the crew proceeded with fill placement and compaction. A total of approximately 20 inches of fill was placed in three successive lifts, each lift measuring about 6 to 7 inches in thickness. Each lift was uniformly spread, moisture-conditioned, and compacted.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
