Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
Our ASEC representative was on site for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. The contractor started moving stockpiled topsoil from Lots #21 through #25 to the slope of the northwest pond area. Topsoil was placed in approximately 12-inch lifts and compacted with an 815 sheeps-foot roller. There does not appear to be any form of retaining wall on this slope (according to plans provided by contractor). The contractor confirmed this slope was greenspace and they would not place any topsoil in structural areas.
The pipe crew began installing storm lines by the deceleration lane at the entrance. The contractor placed their head wall BC1 to structure BC2. They plan to begin backfilling this structure on the following workday. ASEC will perform density testing as needed/requested.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
