Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. The contractor finished placing topsoil along the bank of the northwest pond area and rolled in the bank with a dozer. Topsoil was only placed in greenspace areas. The contractor moved to the pond located by the deceleration lane at the entrance of the site. The approximate location of Lots #3 and #4 were stripped of topsoil. The contractor and ASEC performed a proof- roll of this area. Any pumping/rutting was marked with paint for the contractor to undercut. ASEC recommended to remove another approximate 6 inches off
of this area due to the presence of organics/topsoil. The contractor agreed and removed the rest of the topsoil and stockpiled it to be moved to greenspace at a later time. The contractor began placing approximately 6-inch lifts on the edge of Lots #3 and #4 (slope area into pond). Density testing will be performed approximately every 2 feet.

The pipe crew started backfilling the BC1 to BC2 structures. ASEC preformed density testing around the structure. All test results were provided to the contractor.
