Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
Excavation and installation continued today at the Caseville Road tract for the French drain (“burrito wrap”) project. Work started at point C3 according to the new plan, next to the existing pipeline. The crew excavated the soil, cut the existing pipeline, and installed a T-joint connection. New pipes were installed along the designated line, and the trench was backfilled and compacted. No groundwater or slope instability was observed at the time of excavation.
On the other side, work began at location H101 (future 100-year flood zone). The crew excavated soil extending one side up to point B1 and the other side midway toward point A1, forming a high embankment of 6-10 feet in height around the area.
Additionally, a proof-roll of the second lift (approximately 1 foot thick) was completed between Building Nos. 56 through 44. The area was compacted and the subgrade appeared stable.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
