Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Site Observations:

Work continued from the previous day involving the importing and placement of brown silty sand soil sourced from the Seven Hills amenities area. The soil was spread by a Komatsu 39PXI dozer and compacted using a Hamm ride-on vibratory sheepsfoot roller.

Several lifts were placed during the observation period, with each lift measuring approximately 4–6 inches in thickness. The placement area included the future road alignment and adjacent slopes.

The foreman stated that this fill placement is temporary and will remain in place until the wing wall is fabricated. Accordingly, no field density or compaction testing was performed at this time.
