Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Site Observations:

A proof-roll was performed for a small road section located at the back of the Hawthorne Reserve development (station numbers unavailable). Present during the proof-roll were David from Baldwin Paving and Mike representing Paulding County.

It was unanimously agreed that the proof-roll results were generally acceptable with two exceptions:

1. One area within the cul-de-sac (see attached photo).

2. A small trench area adjacent to the cul-de-sac.

These areas were marked in the field by a representative from Baldwin Paving, and the county representative provided remediation guidance, recommending that approximately 4–6 inches of soil be removed and replaced with GAB (Graded Aggregate Base).

Remarks:

Remediation activities were not observed during this visit. A follow-up proof-roll will be required after all GAB placement has been completed in the identified areas.
