Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Excavation and installation continued today at the Caseville Road tract for the French drain (“burrito wrap”) project. Work continued at the midway point of C3, where the crew excavated soil and installed pipe. At the area between Buildings #41 through #43, a large rock was encountered in the soil, causing a temporary stop in work. The crew then moved to Building #35, where they cleared the area, excavated soils and connected a T-joint to the existing pipeline. New pipes were installed and backfilled/compacted. No groundwater or slope instability was observed at the time of excavation.

On the other side of the site, work continued midway up to point A1 for the pond area, where the crew constructed an embankment ranging from 6 to 10 feet in height around the pond and leveled the surface on both the top and sides.

At the proof-roll area, two lifts (each approximately 1 foot thick) were placed, compacted, and proof-rolled.

We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
