Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Work continued at point C3, where the crew excavated soil, installed pipes, backfilled the trench, and compacted the area.  At the first RCP location, concrete was poured into the formwork and leveled to the required grade.

At the second RCP location, work proceeded according to the plan — the crew excavated soil, installed RCP pipes, and constructed a concrete headwall. They placed formwork, installed reinforcing steel (rebars), and then filled with concrete.

Meanwhile, another crew continued pond work, excavating soil and forming a trench around the pond, followed by compaction of the surrounding area. The excavated soil was reused as fill, placed in lifts up to approximately 3 feet in total height, with each lift was compacted to meet project specifications.
