Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
On the above date our representative was on site to observe the paving contractor continue subgrade preparation and base stone placement at Nature Walk parkway between sanitary sewer manholes #9 and #4. The contractor used a vibratory smooth drum roller recompacting subgrade soils prior to placing base stone across the subgrade using a skid loader and motor grader. The writer probed the subgrade using a rounded end steel rod which appeared stable and suitable for the placement of base stone materials. Also observed dump truck traffic over previous placed base stone which appeared to be stable with no severe movement. The contractor stated that on 11/21/25, 480.23 tons and on 11/24/25, 953.13 tons of base stone was placed over prepared subgrade soils.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
