Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor (NG Grading) for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. The contractor continued placing soil lifts of approx. 6in to 8in in size across the commercial lots around the front detention pond. The lifts were compacted with a sheep-foot roller.  ASEC observed as loaded trucks rolled across the compacted lift to check for stability. There were no signs of pumping or deflection present. Density testing was performed, and test results were provided to the contractor.

The contractor finished the slope/roadway of Lots #4 and #5 around the front detention pond. This area was density tested, and test results were provided to the contractor. ASEC watched as loaded trucks rolled across the lift to check for stability. There were no signs of pumping or deflection present.

The contractor continued fill placement across the deep fill area located between Lots #8 through #13 and #52 through #60. Density testing was performed, and test results were provided to the contractor. ASEC watched as loaded trucks rolled across the lift to check for stability. There were no signs of pumping or deflection present.
