Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the
purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were
employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor (NG Grading) for the
observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill. Upon arrival to the site, the surface appeared to be saturated from the rainfall over the previous weekend. The contractor stripped approx. 6in to 1ft off of the lots #8 – #13 and #52 – #60 area. Then the contractor rolled this area with a sheep’s foot roller and began to place fill in approximately 6in to 8in lifts. ASEC moisture checked the fill via dry back method and moisture content was with in optimum range. Density testing was conducted, and test results were provided to the contractor. ASEC watched as loaded off road trucks rolled across the lifts to check for stability. There were no signs of pumping or cracking present, and the lifts appear to be stable.
