Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our representative was onsite to observe proof-rolling of subgrade soils for the stage 1 temporary relocation of the traffic lane. The proof-roll was also observed with members from Paulding County and East Coast Grading using a loaded tandem dump truck making two passes over all areas. The first section south of address 157 drive displayed slight movement under traffic however was approved for base stone placement due to being temporary travel lanes. The area north of address 157 had moderate to severe movement at an old ditch line under traffic and was recommended to undercut -6 inches and replace with additional base stone. The contractor began undercut repairs which were measured to be 141′ x 6′ x 6″.

We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
