Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our representative was on site to observe the grading contractor continue placing fill for the Phase 2 extension building lots. The writer performed density tests at elevations 881,883 and 885 using a Troxler Nuclear gauge (model 3430, serial no. 91643). Compaction results were found to meet project specifications. The writer also observed the grading contractor continue placing stripped topsoil for the slope embankment near the horse park. Also observed the blasting contractor (Advance Drilling) onsite today performing test drills at several locations at Unit 4-Phase 2 verifying rock depths.

Locations:

1. Top of hill at Naturewalk Parkway, hole #1 drilled to -42′ no rock was encountered (north side); hole #2 drilled to -38′ rock encountered at -28′.

2.Building lots near the horse farm approximately 400’east of horse park, hole #3 drilled to a depth of -5′ where rock was encountered.  Hole#4 rock was encountered at existing top of ground (Lot #48). Also drilled at Lot #49 where rock was encountered at existing top of ground and at Lot #50 where rock was encountered at -16′.

Hole #2 = (38′)

Hole #3 = (5′)

Hole #4 = top of ground (existing grade)

Hole #5 = top of ground (existing grade)

Hole #6 = (16′)
