Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
On Monday, the contractor resumed fill operations at Lot #28. The objective was to raise the lot elevation to match the adjacent street subgrade level. Fill placement continued using on-site material, placed in 16-inch loose lifts in accordance with project specifications.
A total of four (4) lifts were placed and compacted during today’s operations. Nuclear density gauge testing was performed on each lift, and all test results met compaction requirements. Moisture contents were within acceptable limits, and lift thickness was maintained consistently throughout the work area. No soft or unstable areas were observed at the time of inspection.
By the end of the workday, the contractor brought Lot #28 to the required street-level elevation. The surface appeared firm and stable. Based on field observations and test results, the completed fill has been placed as per job specifications.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
