Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Crew 1 began operations along S Line, performing backfilling activities in the designated work zone. Backfill material was placed in lifts of approximately 6–8 inches. Each lift was compacted using compaction equipment. Nuclear density gauge testing was performed on each completed lift, and all test results met the specified compaction requirements. The material was found to be within acceptable moisture range, and no unstable or yielding areas were observed.

Crew 2 worked along A Line, focusing on areas adjacent to the roadway. Backfill material was placed in lifts and compacted prior to testing. Nuclear density tests were performed at multiple locations beside the road. All tested lifts achieved the required compaction.
