Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the
purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were
employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site as requested by the contractor (NG Grading) for the
observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill.

The grading crew is continuing the excavation of the footing for wall #1. Soil excavated from the wall is being spread across the cut area located in the commercial lot area. DCP testing was conducted and test results were sent into the ASEC engineers.

ASEC met with the paving crew and Matt (NG Grading) to conduct a proof roll on the deceleration lane and lane extension. The proof roll was conducted with a loaded tandem truck. There was one small area that showed signs of pumping. It was recommended to add more water to the GAB and compact again. IF the pumping is still present, then it was recommended to remove approx. 6in of GAB and add more asphalt in this area.
