Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our representative was on site to observe proof-rolling of the subbase stone placement for the west side lane relocation after previous subgrade repairs were made. The subbase stone was proof-rolled using a loaded tandem dump truck having 20 tons of base rock making two passes over all areas. The subbase proof-roll was observed between stations 0+00 and 5+00. The proof-roll appeared stable under traffic with no apparent movement and appears ready for asphalt paving. The observations were also made with Paulding County and the contractor ECG present.
