Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our representative was on site to observe the paving contractor continue subgrade preparation at Nature Walk Parkway between sanitary sewer manholes #6 and 7. The undercut areas varied between -4″ and -8″ (as recommended) increasing total depth of base stone averaging 18″ full depths. Some subgrade areas were low and was brought to grade with additional base rock instead of soil material. It was recommended to place geotextile fabric at the lower side of the roadway to stabilize saturated subgrade soils.

The drilling contractor continued drilling at Lot #37.

Later in the day, the grading contractor began placing rock fill at unit 4 phase 3 in the deep slope area. The rock fill was placed in compacted lifts.

We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
