Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Density tests were performed for Lots #41 and 42 using a nuclear gauge to verify compaction. Density test results showed that this area had not been compacted to job specifications. Our representative recommended that this area be reworked, recompacted and retested at the earliest convenience

Other crew working between Manholes G1 and G4, backfilling was carried out using soil placed in lifts, and each lift was compacted using a double drum roller, jumping jack compactor and sheep foot roller.
