Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Crew continued working on Lots #20, 21, and 22, as well as partially in the roadway and portions of Lots #46 and 47. Fill material was placed in lifts of approximately 6–8 inches thickness and spread evenly, followed by compaction using a sheep-foot roller and a Caterpillar 815 compactor.

At the retaining wall, the crew proceeded with removing the formwork after the concrete had set.

In the neighboring Buford area, trench excavation continued using a hydraulic excavator equipped with a rock grinder attachment to break through rock and advance the excavation as required for ongoing utility installation work.
