Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

The crew continued working on Lots #42 and 41, removing the top 4–6 inches of material using a crawler bulldozer. The material was then compacted with a sheep-foot roller. Nuclear gauge tests were performed, and a few locations initially failed to meet the required compaction. Additional compaction was recommended using an articulated loaded dump truck and sheep-foot roller. After reworking, subsequent testing confirmed that the material met the required compaction specifications.
