Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our representative was on site to observe the grading contractor continue hauling blast rock and spreading it at Unit 4 Phase 3 at elevation 922.00.  These areas were suitably compacted for rockfill placement.

Observed the pipe contractor backfilling 36″CMP storm line between A6 and A7. Compacting efforts were observed by probing using a rounded end steel rod. The compacting efforts were suitable as per job requirements.

The writer also observed the drilling contractor continue drilling at the cul-de-sac for Unit 4 Phase 2.
