Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our representative was on site at the roundabout and bridge foundation observing subbase stone for the east side curbing for the roundabout. The subbase stone was compacted using a vibratory sheep-foot roller and was observed to be suitable for concrete curb placement. The contractor poured type 7 curbing mix today.

The writer also made several visits observing installation of the reinforcing steel for the north side bridge abutment A1 footing. The areas observed were referenced to the site document in Title Abutment A1, Project: Pumpkinvine Creek Nature Walk Bridge, Project No. 25 RWSO12, dated 4/03/2025, Sheet No. A1 SH-2.  Our representative observed the rebar placed for size, spacing, clearance, splice and location. The observations continue as placement is completed.
