Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
Crew continued filling operations for Lots #41 and 42, placing material in lifts, spreading with a crawler bulldozer, and compacting using a sheep-foot roller. Density tests were performed; while some tests passed, a few initially failed. Additional compaction was carried out using a loaded dump truck along with a few more passes of the sheep-foot roller. After reworking, the subsequent tests met the required compaction standards.
On the other side, the crew excavated to the required depth and installed manhole Z15-SSMH. The subgrade was leveled, and No. 57 stone was placed. The crew then proceeded with the installation of 8-inch PVC sewer pipes, each measuring 14 feet in length, with a total of 7 pipes installed.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
