Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our representative observed concrete placement for the northside bridge abutment A1 footing. ASEC onsite technicians molded six (6)  sets of five (5) test cylinders and performed slump, air, unit weight and temperature checks on concrete placement of approximately 300 cubic yards using a 3500 psi mix. The concrete placement location was placed from east side to west side. The writer also continued observing the in-place reinforcing steel prior to concrete placement as referred to site documents in title ABUTMENT A1, Pumpkinvine Creek NatureWalk.
