Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our representative was on site to observe the pipe contractor backfilling 36″ RCP storm line between OCS E1 and headwall E0 using recommended soil materials compacted in suitable lift thicknesses. The compacted efforts were observed by probing using a rounded end steel rod which appeared acceptable for 95% compaction. The grading contractor continued placing fill for building Lots #41 and 42 and was reminded that placement lift thicknesses should not exceed 12 inches and last two feet of fill tested for 98% compaction. The contractor was on site also setting up for directional bored drilling.

We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
