Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials
submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Our ASEC representative was on site to observe the contractor (NG Grading) and for the observation/testing of the placement of fill/backfill.

The grading crew continued to assist the wall crew on the installation of retaining wall 1. Soil lifts were spread 8 to 12 inches in thickness and compacted with a vibrating sheep-foot roller. Density testing was performed and test results were provided to the contractor. The grading crew continued to place blasted rock in the temporary pond area located above retaining wall 1. The blasted rock was placed approximately 1 foot to 1.5feet in thickness and had finer soil spread across the lifts to help fill voids.

The pipe crew has been installing storm line. At this time, the line is too shallow to perform density testing. Testing will be conducted at final grade.
