Daily Field Report
Observations/Finding
As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.
On the above date our representative was on site to observe proof-rolling of subgrade soils at the Nature Walk Parkway intersection to phase 1B. The proof-roll was performed using a loaded tandem dump truck having 19.29 tons of base stone. The subgrade was also probed using a rounded end steel rod and all areas appeared stable under traffic except at the water line crossing to phase 1B where it was recommended to clip across the water line -4″ and replace with additional base stone. The previous subgrades between sanitary sewer manholes #9.1 and 10 were also re-observed with recommendations only to clip surface loose materials -2″ and add additional base stone. The contractor also continued placing base stone and compacting over passing proof-rolled areas.
The pipe contractor continued installing and backfilling storm pipe at C line.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you on this project. If you have any questions regarding this report, please feel free to contact us. We will be more than happy to discuss it with you.
