Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services.  Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

On the above date our representative was on site to observe the pipe contractor continue backfilling at the OCS pipeline for the detention pond. The writer observed the fill placed in 8″ to 10″ loose lifts and compacted with onsite equipment which was compacted to job specifications. The writer probed the compacted fill using a rounded end steel rod recommending when additional compacting efforts were needed. The contractor complied with all recommendations made.
