Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of providing quality control inspection and testing services. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes, and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Crew continued working on Lots #62, 63, 64, and the adjacent roadway area. Fill material was placed in lifts, spread using a crawler bulldozer, and compacted using both a sheep-foot roller and a Caterpillar 815. Density tests were performed and met required compaction specifications.

At Retaining Wall 5, the crew continued preparing the foundation by leveling the subgrade to the required elevation and grade. No. 57 stone was then placed. The crew proceeded with the installation of CMU blocks. Additionally, fill material was placed in lifts of 6 to 8 inches and compacted using a double drum roller and sheep-foot roller, and the compaction met the required job specifications.

At the Buford neighborhood site, the crew continued trench excavation using a hydraulic excavator equipped with a rock grinder.
