Observations/Finding

As requested, the site was visited by our AS Engineering and Consulting (ASEC) representative for the purpose of  providing quality control inspection and testing sevices. Visual observation techniques were employed to verify compliance with project drawing/specifications, applicable codes and materials submittals. The following observations were observed on site this day.

Crew continued working at the retaining wall. Manhole risers were installed as the fill material reached the required grade at each structure to maintain proper elevation. Fill material was placed in controlled lifts and compacted using a jumping jack compactor and trech compactor in area around manholes and close to the wall. The remaining areas were compacted using both a caterpillar 815 and a sheep foot roller to acheive the required density.

At wall 5, the crew continued wall construction by placing CMU blocks in accordance with the project plans.Fill material was placed at the wall in controlled lifts and compaccted using a trench compactor and a sheep foot roller to ensure proper stability and compaction.

At the Buford neighbourhood site, the crew continued trench excavation using a hydraulic excavator equipped with a rock grinder to acheive the required depth and alignment.
